One-day workshop on “Tally Accounting Package”
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell and Institution’s Innovation Council, in support of the postgraduate and research department of Commerce and Computer Science, Trinity College for Women (Arts and Science), Namakkal, conducted a one-day workshop entitled “Tally Accounting Package for Higher Secondary School Students in and Around Namakkal” on January 12, 2024.
Dr. M. Sasikala, AP and HOD; Ms. P. Madhupriya and Ms. P. Dhanushiya, Assistant Professors, Postgraduate and Research Department of Commerce, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, were the resource persons.
It was attended by 42 students of higher secondary classes in and around Namakkal. The workshop was conducted for students with a higher secondary commerce (vocational) background with the objective of empowering them with knowledge of the ERP Accounting Module. All the participants were given hands-on training in the creation of companies, ledgers, posting of vouchers, trial balances, balance sheets, etc. Both the practical and theoretical classes were held. Apart from that, the resource persons explained the GST calculation with the help of tally software and elaborated on the basics of tally, financial accounting, taxation, inventory systems, and more.
