Programme on “Research Writing Proposals”
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Periyar University, Salem organized a one day programme entitled “Research Writing Proposals” on 22nd September 2023 in the premises of senate hall, Periyar University, Salem.
Mrs. S. Hemalatha, Assistant Professor in Tamil and Mrs. S. Mohanapriya, Assistant Professor in Physics, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal took part in that workshop.
Prof. Dr. R. Jagannathan, Honourable Vice Chancellor, Periyar University, Salem, Inaugurated the programme. Dr. M. Satheesh, Principal Scientist, CSIR – CECRI – Karaikudi, Sivaganga District was the special invitee. G. Yoganandan, Professor in Management Studies & Director – IQAC, Dr. R. Subramaniya Bharathi, Professor in Management Studies, Dr. S. Boopathi, Assistant Professor in English & Dr. M. Pachamuthu, Assistant Professor in Statistics, Periyar University, also spoke on that occasion.
The above said resource persons explained the meaning, aims, importance and characteristics of research proposals. Also, they elucidated the research plans like selection of topic, abstract, introduction, review of literature, identification of research gaps, objectives of the study, research methodology, hypothesis, scope for the research, outline, innovation/path breaking aspect of the research, proposals outcomes of the study, new datas generation, expected contribution of the study, duration of the study for fulfilment of questionnaire, bibliography, etc.,
