Release of the magazine “Eat Right”
The magazine “Eat Right” was released by Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, and she handed over the first copy to Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal of the College. It was held on July 31, 2023. This “Eat Right” magazine was prepared by the department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Trinity College for Women (Arts and Science), Namakkal.
The main objective of that magazine is “Healthy recipes for our strong energy and art from waste for reuse”. This magazine includes tips for preparing solid and liquid foods like kambu payasam, rice ladoo, barnyard millet biryani, black channa sundal, barley dosa, rava cake, jowar paniyaram, wheat adai, kachayam, bread halwa, bread chilli, water melon, masala pattani, wheat cake with egg, wheat cake without egg, and also kitchen gardening like stages of gongura, spinach, agathi leaves, tulsi, coriander leaves, and karisalankanni greens, as well as the techniques of arts from waste.
The faculty of Nutrition & Dietetics Mrs. R. Rupa, Ms. P. Sri Renugadevi, Mrs. V. Sowmiya and the faculty of Costume Design & Fashion Mrs. K. Punitha, Ms. K.P. Theepika, Mrs. A.P. Pavithra and Mrs. R. Shanmugapriya also were present on that occasion.
