Programme on “Be a trendspotter in this epoch”
The Media Club of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, organised a programme entitled “Be a trendspotter in this epoch” on August 25, 2023, in the venue of the mini-seminar hall of the college. Mr. J. Sibi Chakravarty, Assistant Professor in English, K.S. Rangasamy College of Arts and Science (Autonomous), Tiruchengode, was the resource person. A trendspotter is a person who identifies, describes, and makes predictions about growing trends in the culture at large or in a particular field. The purpose of Trend Spotter is to make students aware of this particular profession. This technique is used by most corporate firms in the modern era with the use of SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats), he said.
Also, he stated that there are plenty of opportunities for English students in the field of translation.
Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, principal, presided over the programme. Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Director – Academic offered his felicitation address. Mrs. G. Kannagi, HOD & AP in English welcomed the gathering. The faculty of English Mrs. L. Deepika, Mr. R. Priyadharshini, Mrs. J. Evangelin, Ms. M. Rekha, Mrs. M. Saranya, and Mrs. S. Gayathri also took part.
