Kavalan SOS programme
The National Service Scheme, in association with the Anti-Ragging & Sexual Harassment Cell, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, conducted an awareness programme on “Kavalan SOS”, launching the programme on 26th March 2025 in the Trinity Auditorium.
Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director of the College, presided over the programme. Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal, welcomed the gathering.
The programme was conducted to raise awareness about the “Kavalan SOS App” launched by the Tamil Nadu Police Department for the protection of females.
Dr. K. Kabilan, Inspector, Namakkal Town Police Station, Namakkal was the chief guest. He gave a brief introduction about the app and the significance of safety, especially for women. Also, he gave instructions on how to install and use the kavalan SOS app.
Mr. S. Santhakumar & Mr. M. Thiyagaraju, Sub-Inspectors, Namakkal Town Police Station, Namakkal, The Vice-Principal of the College Dr. R. Navamani, the NSS Programme Officers, Dr. M. Sasikala & Mrs. V. Gokila, the Coordinator of the Anti-Ragging and Sexual Harassment Cell, Mrs. M. Malathi, The Administrative Officer, Mr. N.S. Senthilkumar and all the students and faculty members took part.
