Rally on Conservation of Energy
The National Service Scheme of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, and in association with the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, Namakkal, conducted a rally on December 20, 2023. The main aim of the rally was “conservation of energy.” (மின் ஆற்றல் சேமிப்புப் பேரணி).
Mr. P. Ramalingam , MLA of Namakkal Assembly constituency inaugurated the rally., , Mr. D. Kalanidhi, Chairman, Mr. S. Bhoopathi, Vice-Chairman, Namakkal Municipality, Mr. R.K. Sundararaj, Executive Engineer, Namakkal, Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal and Dr Arasuparameswaran, Director – Academic, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal were the special invitees.
This rally started at 9.30 AM on Mohanur Road (Near – Thenpandian Petrol Bunk) and ended in the same place (via South School, Travellers Bungalow, Trichy Road, Dr. Sankaran Road, State Bank of India, Life Insurance Corporation Office, Namakkal Head Post Office and Telephone Exchange).
Under the supervision of NSS Programme Officers Dr. M. Sasikala and Mrs. S. Jayamathi and also 52 volunteers of the National Service Scheme participated in that rally.
All the participants chanted and they highlighted the various slogans of saving electricity, such as let’s conserve electricity, don’t run electrical appliances unnecessarily, saving electricity also protects the environment, etc.,
