The Periyar University Yoga Tournament
The Periyar University Yoga Tournament was held on the premises of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, on March 15, 2024. More than 10 teams from the districts of Salem, Dharmapuri, Namakkal, and Krishnagiri have actively taken part.
Dr. K. Venkatachalam, Physical Director, Periyar University, Salem, was the chief guest. He inaugurated the yoga events.
Many arts and science colleges in and around Salem, Namakkal, Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri districts took part.

The prize and certificate distribution ceremony was held on 15.03.2024 in our college campus at 3.15 pm. Dr. K. Venkatachalam, Physical Director, Periyar University, Salem gave away certificates and prizes to all the achievers.

Shivakumar, Director of Physical Education, Government Arts College for Women, Salem 636 008 and Mrs. P. Sathya, Director of Physical Education, K.S.Rangasamy College of Arts and Science (Autonomous), Tiruchengode also took part in that Periyar University Yoga Tournament.
Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal; Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Director; Mr. N.S. Senthilkumar, Administrative Officer; Dr. M. Sasikala, Senate Member, Periyar University, Salem & Assistant Professor and Head, postgraduate and research department of Commerce, The various department HOD’s; faculty members; and students of the college also took part. Mrs. V. Archana, Director of Physical Education, made arrangements.
