One-day workshop on “SPSS Software”
The Post graduate and research department of Commerce, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal conducted a one day workshop titled “SPSS software and its significance in research and data analysis” on 26th September 2024. Dr. A. Sengottaiyan, Associate Professor – The PostGraduate Research and Department of Commerce, Vivekanandha College of Arts and Science for Women (Autonomous), Elayampalayam, Tiruchengode, Namakkal District was the resource person.
The workshop was conducted for the benefit of Commerce students. The overall aim of the workshop was to contribute to the participants a good understanding about the software of Statistical Package for the Social Science. This one day workshop was organized most importantly to help the students to analyze data and how to use IBM SPSS to draw accurate and perfect conclusions on their projects.
This IBM SPSS software can be used to solve algebraic, arithmetic and trigonometric operations. It incorporates text, tables, graphs and statistical results of the report in the same file, he said. Also, he explained the characteristics, usage, benefits and limitations of the SPSS software. All the Commerce students took part. The Principal Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Coordinator, Silver Jubilee Celebrations, The faculty of Commerce Dr. M. Sasikala, Mrs. G. Nithya, Dr. S. Devi, Dr. G. Sathiya Sangari, Mrs. M. Uma Mageswari, Mrs. M. Rajapadmavathi, Mrs. A. Rajeswari, Ms. P. Madhupriya and Ms. P. Dhanushiya participated in that workshop.
