Celebration of the Birth Anniversary of Mahakavi Bharathiar
To commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahakavi Bharathiyar, an eminent Tamil poet of Tamil Nadu state, the faculty and students of the Department of Tamil at Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, celebrated his birthday on December 11, 2023, on the college campus.
Dr. N. Subalakshmi, Assistant Professor in Tamil, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, delivered the topic of “Dreams should come true.” (கனவு மெய்ப்பட வேண்டும்). She recalled the poet’s significant contribution to literature, role in journalism, women’s freedom, removal of untouchability, freedom of our nation, etc.
The faculty of Tamil Dr. T. K. Anuradha, Dr. R. Savithri, Mrs. S. Jayamathi, Dr. A. Latha, Dr. B. Vishnupriya, Dr. C. Gobiya, Dr. R.A. Anitha, Mrs. S. Hemalatha, Mrs. K. Barathi, Dr. T. Geetha and Mrs. K. Padmavathi and also all the students of Tamil Department participated.
