Celebration of Mupperum Vizha
Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, celebrated the “Mupperum Vizha” (College 24th Annual Day, International Women’s Day, and Sports Day) on March 8, 2024, in the Trinity Auditorium.
Er. K. Nallusamy, Chairman, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, presided over the function. Dr.R. Kulandaivel, President, Trinity Academy Matric Higher Secondary School, Namakkal, Mr. PRS. P. Palanisamy, President, and Mr. Rama. Srinivaasan, Secretary, Trinity International School (CBSE), Namakkal, Mr. P. Dhalayan, Transport Director, and Mr. S. Gopal, Director, Trinity Academy Educational Institutions, Er. S. Selvaraj, Secretary, and Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director, offered their felicitation addresses.
Mrs. M. Subhashini, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Anti-Corruption and Vigilance), Namakkal, was the special guest. A higher education is essential for every woman. It creates empowerment. Hard work never fails. Every planned action will bring us success. Social websites (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc.) have become indispensable in our day-to-day lives. Please don’t share unnecessary messages and photos with others through social media. Such activity will affect us in some way. We should use these social media only for our future success, she said.
Also, she pointed out how students’ should prepare for the competitive examinations organized by the Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu.
Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, principal, welcomed the gathering. The chief guest was introduced by Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Director, Academic, Mr. Prasanth Palanisamy and Mr. Sidharthan Dhayalan of Trinity Academy also took part.
The meritorial endowments like the Dr. Sarveswaran Scholarship, Pappu Reddiar Educational Trust Scholarship, Selvarajan Padmavathy Memorial Endowment Scholarship, PSK Transports Scholarship, and Trinity Alumni Scholarship are given to the meritorious students who have achieved in the Periyar University Examinations as well as sports.
In addition, the Periyar University Rank holders (2020-2023) Ms. T. Monika (Costume Design and Fashion) – third rank and Ms. K. Siddharthi (B.Com.) – eighth rank were honoured on that occasion.
Ms. R.Annapoorani, third B.A., English, Fine Arts Secretary, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, extended the vote of thanks. All the faculty members and students of the college have actively taken part. Students’ cultural programs were also held.
