Webinar on “Protecting Intellectual Property Rights and Intellectual Property Management for Start-ups”
Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, successfully hosted an insightful programme on “Protecting Intellectual Property Rights and IP Management for Start-ups”, organized by the Department of Commerce, in support of the Institution’s Innovation Council, Internal Quality Assurance Cell and Entrepreneurship Development Cell on 28th March 2025. It was held through the platform of Google Meet. Dr. P. Ashok Kumar, Assistant Professor of Commerce, The Post Graduate and Research Department of Commerce, Sri Vasavi College, Erode, was the special invitee. This programme aims to educate researchers, young innovators, and entrepreneurs on the importance of protecting intellectual assets and effectively managing IP for business development.
The resource person demonstrated how Intellectual Property Rights holds the maximum value in running victorious ventures. The webinar provided students with knowledge regarding IPR laws in India, trademarks, copyrights protection, industrial designs and patents.
Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal presided over the programme. The HOD of Commerce, Dr. M. Sasikala, The Coordinator of IQAC, Dr. N. Elamathi, The Coordinator of IIC, Dr. A. Vijayasarathi, the faculty members of Commerce, Mrs. G. Nithya, Dr. S. Devi, Dr. G. Sathiya Sangari, Mrs. M. Umamageswari, Mrs. M. Rajapadmavathi, Mrs. A. Rajeswari and Ms. P. Madhupriya made arrangements.
More or less 100 students of various departments took part.
