UBI – Orientation Meeting
- Unnat Bharat Abhiyan 2.0 – The Regional Coordinating Institute (RCI) – Directorate of Agribusiness Development, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore organized a one day “UBA orientation meeting” on 12th September 2022. This programme was held in the venue of Anna Auditorium, Tamil Nadu Agriculture University, Coimbatore.
Dr. V. Geethalakshmi, Honourable Vice-Chancellor of Tamil Nadu Agriculture University was the chief guest.
Dr. E. Somasundaram, UBA – RCI – Coordinator (Central Zone), Tamil Nadu & Director (ABD), Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore welcomed the gathering.
Prof. Virendra K Vijay, National Coordinator (UBA), Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi was the special invitee. He explained the various UBA – Thematic Areas like organic farming, water management, renewable energy, artisans, industries, livelihood, basic amenities, etc.,
Dr. K. Ravichandran, UBA – RCI – Coordinator (South Zone), The Gandhigram Rural Institute, Gandhigram, Dindigul District, Prof. Indhumathi N. Nambi, SEG – Coordinator, UBA – IIT – Madras, North Zone, Dr. R. Balamurugan, UBA – RCI- Coordinator (Central Zone), Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, Dr. R. Ramesh, Assistant Professor and Head, Central for Rural Infrastructure, NIRDPR, Hyderabad spoke on that occasion.
Dr. R. Balaji, UBA – RCI – Assistant Coordinator (Central Zone), Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore proposed the vote of thanks.
On behalf of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal. Mrs. S. Hemalatha, Assistant Professor in Tamil & Coordinator of UBA took part in that UBA Orientation meeting. It is proudly noted that our College has adopted five villages in Namakkal district (Vagurampatti, Aniyapuram, Parali, Tholur & Pettapalayam) under the scheme of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan.
